Yes, this is late, so to speak. But...

Mr Deaver, you have another two weeks of detention with me. You'll be serving them in the evenings.

Audrey, I'm really sorry about the mess in the music room. The next time I go, I'll remember to put everything back in their proper places.

Pop quiz sometime this week. Please be prepared.

A few things for today:

- The vocabulary exercise for Spanish II was rather dismal. Buck up kids, don't make me put you through the piƱata project for extra credit. If anyone has any questions pretaining to school work, I'll be happy to answer them. Usually I'm in my office.

- Mr Deaver, you will be spending detention with me for the rest of the week. Kindly do not repeat that little prank you pulled in class again. Ever.

- Why on earth would someone leave their egg baby right outside the door of the Spanish classroom? I stepped on it. Mr Lloyd I really don't appreciate being called a baby killer.

- My ipod is missing. If you see it please bring it to my classroom. Thank you.

- Must avoid Jadyn at all costs until the mental images wear off

I'm aware that passing notes in class has become rather outdated given the number of telepaths in this school. However it is still a common occurance and if I catch anyone doing it in my class it's an instant detention. I don't care how trivial or 'urgent' your note is you will be sharing it with the rest of the class.

Pop quiz this week for all my classes. Or should I say pop quizes. Please be prepared. Adding an 'O' at the end of random words and peppering your sentances with an unnecessary amount of el's does not make it Spanish.

Mr Cambry, there are some texts that need translating into Latin. They will be on my desk, help yourself.

Mr Mortenson, I believe we can start on code.

With the exams over...the levels of Teen Weirdness seem to have decreased. Didn't know if I should have been amused or oddly frightened by that triple wedding.

Also..why can I imagine any of the boys (and one or two girls) of Zener in the following video?

Tape does not contain anything pervy. )

I was going to write something about the Spanish paper..when it is for each respective level, exam format, any special hints... but it would not be anything that I haven't said in class. I know that my students pay attention. If you are one of the few that didn't, sucks to be you. Are you kids still saying, 'sucks to be you' by the way?

Study. I'm in a take no prisoners mood. Just so you know.

Also, for kicks and giggles )

Two things to note today:

Mr Deaver, what exactly did you leave at my door?

Mr Cambry, I had a very good idea for some abilities training. It would include you translating five Christmas songs of choice into five different langauges of my choosing. You don't have to start right away, because it's vacation and all, but when school starts there will certainly be homework from all your other classes. And I will be giving you extra homework as well...so it would be wise to start immediately.

I just read an article published in the British Medical Journal about Mondays. It says that 20% increase of heart attacks on Mondays due to the stress of going back to work. Therefore, to the kids in my class...No homework today. I'll double your load on Friday.

My subscription to Stern magazine ends this month. Maybe I'll try something French, though the time I subscribed to Le Figaro magazine left me a bit disappointed. A good foreign magazine is hard to find.

I'm back. To those of you who sent me cards and came to visit...thank you. Those in my class, be prepared for a shower of homework. Don't say I didn't warn you.

[Entry is written on a piece of hospital stationary. Unreadable] [Oct. 27th, 2008|06:18 pm]
[Entry is written in Spanish]

Never again will I rag on the English langauge. I always said that it was rather confusing and it robbed other langauges of just about everything but now...I just want to speak it! At least I can stick to one langauge per sentance now. They've stuck me with that Spanish speaking nurse. Nice woman...if she'd only stop suggesting that I'd let her give me a sponge bath.

The doctors poke and prode and find nothing. And the interns probably find it funny to hear me speak in strange langauges. How long will Saunders make me stay here? It isn't very nice feeling like an unwanted puppy. I can't shake the feeling that something happened the night I fell into a coma. It's something about hands. Shadowy hands...melodramatic as that sounds.

It's nearly August and I haven't touched my lesson plan. Maybe I'll wing it this term since thank God most of you decided to take French and bug Renaud instead of me.

(As they say in netspeak) :P
